Race Series Rules.
RULESTo be eligible for a Race Series prize or award runners must complete 4 of the 6 10k races plus either the 10 mile or 1/2 Marathon. Runners will be awarded points for their finishing position in each race, we then select your best four 10k race points and your best long run points and add them together to give your overall points total.
SCORING POINTS
You score points in each race based on your finishing among Race Series runners, both overall and in each age category.
The points are assigned as follows:
1st. 40 points, 2nd 37 points, 3rd 35 points, 4th 33 points, 5th 31 points, 6th 29 points, 7th 27 points, 8th 25 points, 9th 23 points, 10th 21 points.
All remaining runners scoring points are reduced one point per position. ie. 11th 20 points, 12th 19 points etc.
AGE GROUPS
MALE: Male - MO/35 - MO/40 - MO/45 - MO/50 - MO/55 - MO/60 - MO/65
FEMALE: Female - FO/35 - FO/40 - FO/45 - FO/50 - FO/55 - FO/60 - FO/65

PRIZES and AWARDS
Vouchers and plaques will be awarded to the first 3 in each age group.
Prizes and plaques will be awarded to 4th and 5th in each age category.
We will award a Mens and Ladies Team Prize based on best 3 points finishers.
Only one prize per runner.
All runners who complete all 8 races will be awarded a quality BIG 8 t-shirt in Mens and Women sizes.
All runners who complete the required races and are not eligible for a prize will be presented with a personalized plaque.
